get to know ME more!
Hi Thank you so much for visiting the blog! Whether you're looking for more pretty pictures, inspiration for your wedding day, or some useful Deep Creek info, I hope you'll find a comfy seat, maybe a cup of coffee, and read on!
JFP has been busy with newborn sessions this year! Even though photographing newborns isn’t the easiest thing to do, it’s fun to meet growing families and their new little bundles of joy. My sessions usually involve mom, dad, new baby and maybe a sibling or pet. But never TWO new babies! Since I had never experienced newborn twins before, I was a little nervous about Miles and Sawyer’s session. But as soon as I walked in the door at their home and reunited with a former couple of mine, I felt completely comfortable.
Kristen and Andrew are super sweet people. I’ve always found it easy to talk with them and they’re just enjoyable people to be around. It’s exciting to see their family grow so quickly and happily! Daughter Harper is 2.5 years old and they just welcomed twin boys Miles and Sawyer in September. I think it’s safe to say they might “have their hands full”, but they seemed pretty calm, confident and content when I met with them. Kristen and Andrew, I think you’re going to do just fine managing this crew. 🙂
The boys fit into daddy’s arms…together! I bet this won’t be happening for long…
I love family time on the couch…just chillin’ and hangin’. 😉
Then big sister Harper came home from school and gave us all sorts of Kodak moments!
While the boys took a feeding break, I captured some of the nursery details…
Harper cooperated so well when we asked her to take some pictures with the boys. What a sweet little girl!
And finally, some family reading time and togetherness in the nursery…
Wow, what a session! I was so nervous about working with two newborn babies, but really, it wasn’t too bad. Probably because Kristen and Andrew are such nice, calm and relaxed people. 🙂 Thanks for having me for a third time, you guys! You have a beautiful little family and I cannot wait to photograph you again in the future!
Scenes and thoughts from deep creek
Well hey now! I thought for sure it had been more than seven months since I blogged last! Wish I could do it more…and plan to as soon as the new JFP website comes out.
I’m not sure I’m starting anything consistent here, just sharing some random thoughts and scenes from Deep Creek on this random Wednesday…

Jessica is amazing and she made us feel so comfortable! Having her capture our wedding was like having my best friend with me for every moment! Jessica's photos are fun, whimsical, and sophisticated!
We are not a stoic couple and did not want posed (or trying-too-hard) photos! Jessica was able to capture our personalities and the elegance of the day! I can't stop looking at our photos!

The best decision I could have made for my wedding was hiring Jessica Fike as a photographer! I was in a wedding prior that she was a photographer for and seeing how organized and easy and strategic she was to work with is what convinced me! She makes you feel so comfortable and helps teach you how to pose and smile and look so natural! She keeps you on schedule throughout your day and captures so much emotion in her photos. She is worth every penny plus more!

The pictures are just amazing! It was wonderful getting to see the boys and Harper (and of course you and Andrew).
